Special Ganga-Sangam Pujan in Prayagraj by Gurudev Maharaj
Prayagraj. Monday – 16 september . In the sacred city of Prayagraj, a grand “Ganga-Sangam Pujan” ceremony was conducted by Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Shriramnareshacharya Ji Maharaj. The ritual, filled with devotion and reverence, commenced with the chanting of Vedic mantras, creating an atmosphere of spiritual sanctity along the banks of the holy Ganga river in Daraganj, Prayagraj. It is in Prayagraj that Ganga ji, Yamuna Ji and Saraswati ji meet. Here pujan of Ganga ji also means Triveni or Sangam Pujan.
The worship was performed with traditional offerings including water, milk, grains, flowers, fruits, gulal (colored powder), yogurt, “boora” (sugar powder), garlands, sacred cloth, vermillion (sindur), roli (red powder), and sandalwood paste (chandan). It was great moment of Ganga pujan by Gurudev Maharaj Swami shriramnareshacharya ji. His each offering symbolized a deep connection with nature and spirituality, reinforcing the belief that Ganga is not just a river but a divine mother. In the evening after the puja, Swami Shriramnareshacharya Ji led his disciples and numerous devotees in performing the “Ganga Aarti,” a sacred ritual to honor the river goddess. The sound of bells, conches, and the chanting of hymns echoed in the surroundings, filling the atmosphere with divine vibrations. As lamps flickered in unison with the chants, the devotion of the gathered crowd was palpable.
Now a days, the water level of the Ganga river has risen considerably in Prayagraj. The lower streets of Daraganj are submerged, and water has entered the temples located along the riverbanks. Unusually, the water has reached the vicinity of the birthplace of The Great Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Ji, an occurrence of rare significance. It is a rare and auspicious moment when the waters of the Ganga touch the revered birthplace, adding to the sanctity of the occasion.
Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Shriramnareshacharya Ji Maharaj, who is currently observing Chaturmas (a period of spiritual retreat) at the birthplace of the Great Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Ji, seized this opportunity to honor the Ganga with rituals of worship and devotion. His actions reinforced the bond between the people and the river, reminding them of the cultural and spiritual importance of the Ganga in their lives.
The increased water level of Ganga is seen as a divine blessing by many, as it brings the holy river closer to the land, temples, and homes that have been connected to her for centuries. The event, steeped in tradition and faith, was a moment of collective devotion, as followers and devotees paid their respects to the river that sustains life and spirituality in the region.
गुरुदेव महाराज ने किया विशेष गंगा-संगम पूजन
प्रयागराज . तीर्थराज प्रयागराज में सोमवार संध्या दिनांक 16 सितंबर को गंगाजी पूजन का भव्य आयोजन जगद्गुरु रामानंदाचार्य स्वामी श्रीरामनरेशाचार्य जी महाराज के नेतृत्व में भक्तिभाव से संपन्न हुआ। इस धार्मिक अनुष्ठान में वेद मंत्रों के उच्चारण के साथ गंगा मइया की वैदिक विधि से पूजा की गई। प्रयागराज में ही गंगा जी, यमुना जी और सरस्वती जी का मिलन होता है। यहां गंगा जी के पूजन का अर्थ त्रिवेणी या संगम पूजन भी है।
गंगा पूजन में जल, दूध, अन्न, फूल, फल, गुलाल, दही, बूरा, माला, वस्त्र, सिंदूर, रोली और चंदन जैसे पवित्र सामग्री का उपयोग किया गया। पूजन के बाद गुरुदेव महाराज ने अपने शिष्यों और श्रद्धालुओं के साथ मिलकर गंगा मइया की महाआरती की। यह दुर्लभ अवसर है, जब रामानंदाचार्य प्राकट्यस्थल, हरित माधव मंदिर के प्रांगण तक गंगा जी पहुंच गई हैं। ऐसा लग रहा है, मानो गंगा जी हरित माधव मंदिर में विराजमान भगवान कृष्ण और राधा जी के साथ ही रामानंदाचार्य जी और उनकी माता जी का स्पर्श करना चाहती हों।
आजकल प्रयागराज के दारागंज क्षेत्र की निचली सड़कें पूरी तरह से जलमग्न हो चुकी हैं। नदी किनारे स्थित कई मंदिरों में भी गंगा जी का पानी प्रवेश कर चुका है। इस अद्वितीय समय में गंगा जी का जलस्तर इतना बढ़ गया है कि रामानंद जी की जन्मभूमि स्थित भवन तक गंगा जी बह रही हैं। रामानंद संप्रदाय के संतों का कहना है कि ऐसा अवसर बहुत कम आता है, जब गंगा जी का पवित्र जल जन्मभूमि भवन का स्पर्श करता है।
इस अवसर पर वहां चातुर्मास कर रहे जगद्गुरु रामानंदाचार्य श्रीरामनरेशाचार्य जी महाराज ने गंगा मइया का विशेष पूजन और अर्चन करके उन्हें सम्मानित किया है, उनका आभार जताया है। गंगा जी के प्रति श्रद्धा और भक्ति का यह अनोखा उत्सव न केवल आध्यात्मिक दृष्टिकोण से महत्वपूर्ण था, बल्कि यह उन सभी श्रद्धालुओं के लिए भी अत्यंत पवित्र और प्रेरणादायक था, जो इस चातुर्मास महोत्सव का हिस्सा बने हुए हैं।
गुरुदेव महाराज के नेतृत्व में हुए इस धार्मिक आयोजन में जबलपुर, अयोध्या इत्यादि अनेक धार्मिक नगिरयों से पधारे अनेक विशेष संतों और श्रद्धालुओं ने भाग लिया और गंगा मइया की कृपा प्राप्त की। गंगा जी की महिमा और उनके प्रति भारतीय संस्कृति में गहरी श्रद्धा का यह उत्सव अद्वितीय था, जिसमें प्रकृति और आध्यात्म का संगम देखने को मिला।
ध्यान रहे कि माता गंगा जी का पूजन भारतीय संस्कृति में सदियों से अद्वितीय महत्व रखता आया है। गंगा मइया को जीवनदायिनी और पापमोचिनी माना जाता है और इसी श्रद्धा के साथ गुरुदेव महाराज ने गंगा पूजन करके इस परंपरा को आगे बढ़ाया है। इस आयोजन के माध्यम से गंगा मइया के प्रति प्रेम और आस्था का संदेश दिया गया, जो हर भारतीय के हृदय में गंगा के प्रति अनन्य भक्ति और श्रद्धा को पुनः जागृत करता है। यह भी ध्यान देने की बात है कि रामानंद संप्रदाय का मुख्यालय श्रीमठ भी वाराणसी में गंगाजी के तट पर पंचगंगा घाट पर स्थित है। गुरुदेव महाराज स्वामी श्रीरामनरेशाचार्य जी ज्यादा समय श्रीमठ में ही दर्शन देते हैं। वाराणसी स्थित श्रीमठ में वैदिक रीति से गंगापूजन दैनिक परंपरा में शामिल है।
