Janmashtami: Birthday of Laddu Gopal Ji

Vrindavan. Janmashtami is being organized with great devotion throughout Vrindavan and Mathura. There might be some country in the world where the birth anniversary of God is not being celebrated, but Mathura is the center of all the events. Devotees from all over the world have gathered here. Special pujas are organized especially in the temples of Nandgaon and Banke Bihari Ji temple.

Mangala Aarti is performed at 2 pm in Banke Bihari temple. The special thing is that this Mangala Aarti happens only once in a year. Also, Gopal is anointed with Panchamrit at 12 o’clock in the night. The consecration of the Lord continues for 2 hours continuously.

In the Banke Bihari temple of Vrindavan, Lord Krishna’s devotees are given intermittent darshan. In between, a curtain is thrown in front of them. This is because the form of Lord Krishna is very attractive. People get fascinated after seeing them. At the same time, the devotees lose their senses due to their devotion to Lord Krishna.

The Lord was born at midnight and it was raining heavily. Krishna started giving messages to the world as soon as he was born. The first message was that no matter what the circumstances, never lose courage. Move towards the solution, you will find the way. He explained the importance of life. He explained the importance of time. He told to wait for the appropriate time. Make yourself strong and proceed only when you feel you can win the battle.

Krishna also taught that do work, do work with all your heart, do work for God. When you do any work, think that it is God who is doing it, you are doing it for God, then this work will become worship. When karma becomes worship, it gets its rightful result. The child form (Baal Roop) of Krishna is especially worshiped on the day of Janmashtami. He was born at exactly 12 o’clock in the night and even today his birth anniversary is celebrated with his idol at many places in the world. The story of Krishna is told. His leela is displayed.

What is Janmashtami ?
Janma (birth) and Ashtami (the eighth day of the month, according to the Hindu calendar) are the two words that make up this phrase. In Mathura, where Krishna was born, and in Vrindavan, where he spent his early childhood, Janmashtami is celebrated with immense religious fervor with thousands of devotees thronging the city during this time.

संसार के गुरु कृष्ण

भगवान कृष्ण महाप्रभु विष्णु के सांतवें अवतार हैं। राम जी ने संसार को मर्यादा पालन की शिक्षा दी और कृष्ण ने संसार को आदर्शतम जीवन का पाठ पढ़ाया। हिन्दू सनातन चिंतन परंपरा बिना कृष्ण के असंभव है। गीता के रूप में संसार को उनका जो संदेश है, वह अतुलनीय है, उसके मुकाबले की कोई दूसरी शिक्षा नहीं मिलती। हिन्दू सनातन परंपरा में आध्यात्मिक गुरु बनाने की परंपरा रही है, जिनको वर्तमान भौतिक संसार में कोई गुरु नहीं मिलता, उनके लिए यह कहा गया है कि वे कृष्ण को अपना गुरु मान सकते हैं।
संसार में असंख्य महात्मा और ज्ञानी ऐसे हुए हैं कि जिनके प्रेरक कृष्ण हैं। कृष्ण ने संसार को कर्मयोग की शिक्षा दी, उन्होंने कहा कि मनुष्य को कर्म करना चाहिए, किन्तु सुख इस बात में है कि वह कर्म के बदले किसी फल की कामना न करे। फल की कामना ही कष्ट का मूल है।
जीवन में आप अपना कार्य करते चलो और सोचो कि ईश्वर ही सब करा रहा है। ईश्वर तुम्हारे लिए है और तुम ईश्वर के लिए हो। कृष्ण ने ज्ञानयोग, सांख्ययोग, हठयोग की भी शिक्षा दी, किन्तु संसार को उनका सबसे बड़ा योगदान कर्मयोग है। उनके बताए कर्मपथ पर ही विश्व चल रहा है।
दूसरे धर्म के भी अनेक महात्मा कृष्ण से सीखकर आगे बढ़े हैं।

कृष्ण का जन्म

कृष्ण का जन्म अद्भुत है। जिन देवता या अवतार ने संसार को मुक्ति का मार्ग दिखाया, उनका जन्म कारागार में हुआ था। पिता वसुदेव और माता देवकी की वे जैविक संतान थे, किन्तु उनका पालन-पोषण पिता नन्द और माता यशोदा ने किया। कृष्ण में शिशुकाल से ही देवगुण भरे हुए थे।
